let the light flow through you...
Alexis smiled as he rushed off, instead of bolting she took it easy until she noticed she was alone, she started to slow down and soon she was stuck at a halt glued to the ground almost frozed in time, was she scared? some how for the first time in ages, she was frightened. Maybe because the last time she was in a forest at night things didn't seem to go as planned ...
Before Alexis could call out for Skele she heard him behind her and she grinned slyly, she made sure she didn't flicker her harks to make him think she could hear him, she thought she would have her go now.
As she heard him get closer, she turned quickly almost like a bolt of lightning and amazingly enough she had the swift step of her father, and with a large burst of adrenaline she tugged at his own tassles sharply, chuckling bending into his own harks "Now lets see you catch me..." as her last word escaped from her maw she turned swiftly and let her thoroughbred blood burst inside of her, her speed increased and her stamina had only just begun she sped further and further into the forest, she was lost but she didn't care, she knew that Skele would find her.

All alone, soaking in the darkness. Feel the tide, pulling you inside. Ebb and flow, take me away. Show me boundless plains.
As he stood behind her, gentle wind rustled his mane and tail. The tangaled black tassels carresed his dark pelt, tickling him, wrapping around him in luxiriant curls. His breathing was slow, and barely made a sound in his throat. The darkness around him didn't bother him, especially with the light in front of him that seemed to flow through him and captivate him. Though he barely knew her, he was attratched to her inner light, even though he himself was composed of darkness. Skele was surprised as she bolted away from him, turning quickly. Her energy amazed him. So light, so fleet. And so very cunning. He shook his dial back and forth quickly, sending his ebony strands flying up around him in the air as he rocked back on his hindquarters, pushing off from them. With a burst of power, he shot forward, his legs pushing against the ground, as if it was an enemy he wanted to destroy. His long strides ate up the distance between him and Alexis. They were both lost by now, but he could find her, and then they wouldn't be nearly as lost once they were together. His hooves dug into the earth, pushing and pounding. The ground seemed to return him the same force, motivating him to move forward towards her even more. The dark pines were only blurs as he shot after the filly, both of them moving swiftly, as if carried by light, invisible wings.

As she started to slow down after a while there distance inbetween them decreased and they were close enough to make perfect rhythm with there hoof beats.
Alexis hadn't felt so good in ages, she felt devious, safe, fun and free all at the same time. The both came toward a river, a rushing one at that. Once again the paces in between them were distant, for a second Alexis thought Skele was falling back, but really she was charging forward ... the river that led to a waterfall was thick in width and deep in depth was rushing madly. Alexis thought she was mad but really she was just determined, she was a beautiful jumper but she had not yet taken in such a large jump, espeacially for a equine her age.
She increased her speed and soon she doubted what she was doing and was afraid, she knew Skele would either try to stop her or tell her that this action was stupid, but somehow she couldn't hear a thing it was just her and the jump ... something her father had described when he was jumping in captivity, he named the two reasons determination and blood.
The jump unfolded before her, she felt her fore-daggers raise and touch her chest and her hind pillars push off the earth as if that her life didn't matter anymore. It was almost if she was flying and unbelievably she cleared the jump and landed squarely on the dry ground before her, she stopped turning for Skele waiting for him.
